Britsburghers will share the emotionally powerful experience of live theatre in PICT’s production of A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. Then, immediately after the performance, they’ll be part of Britsburgh Talk-Back with PICT's Artistic and Executive Director and the director of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Alan Stanford,  Britsburghers are welcome to enjoy a cup of tea and a tasty scone while participating in the discussion.

Join us for PICT's exciting new adaptaion of the Bard's beloved comedy, the "brilliant story of criss-crossed lovers, feuding fairy-folk and the amateur antics of a group of rustic actors that moves from the warmth of an Athenian wood to the climate of the frozen north as the fire of passion collides with the iciness of love unrequited."

PICT Classic Theatre brings this story to life at WQED’s Fred Rogers Studio. After the performance, enjoy a cup of tea and a tasty scone before settling in for the Britsburgh Audience Talk-Back.  Leading the discussion will be Alan Stanford, Artistic and Executive Director of PICT and director of this production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Stanford began his career in Dublin and was principal director of the Gate Theatre Dublin for nearly twenty years. Stanford is now in his eighth year as director of PICT - Pittsburgh’s Classic Theatre. As part of the discussion, Britsburghers will be encouraged to reflect on the play's eternal themes.
