Britsburgh Society members with a love of Afternoon Teas won't want to miss this Sherlock Holmes themed tea! Treat your mum for Mother's day! The scene of the crime is the Omni William Penn Terrace Room. Bring your friends/family and celebrate the world's most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, with our expert lecturer, Jim Zunic.

 

The Edwardian splendor of the Omni William Penn hotel will provide the backdrop for an authentic, English afternoon tea.  You will savor tea sandwiches, scones, pastries, fruit, and your selection of tea.  A unique experience for Mother's Day, tea lovers, Sherlock Holmes fans, and everyone else wanting to experience an authentic English afternoon tea firsthand.  And since this is afternoon tea and we are Britsburgh after all, ladies, please feel free to wear your hats! Gentlemen why not wear your deerstalker?

About the presenter:  Jim Zunic was one of the founding members of the 5th Northumberland Fusiliers, the Western Pennsylvania Sherlock Holmes scion, in 1974. He has taught several classes about the Baker Street Immortal at the School of the Carnegie and has lectured and written numerous articles about Holmes. Jim has also been interviewed on local radio and TV on the subject of Sherlock. He will tell us about the world's most famous detective, his creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and his ardent followers, known as Sherlockians. Jim will also bring some interesting items from his extensive collection of Sherlockiana to show us.
