BRITSBURGH FESTIVAL - A Very British Day Out III

Yes its back by popular demand. Let us take you back to your youth and summer holiday fun in the UK. A Very British Day Out will include the following events:

1:15  check-in/registration

1:30  Egg and spoon race

1.45  3 Legged race

2:00  Sack race

2.15 Skipping race

2:30 100m dash kids

2.45 100m dash adults

3.00 Wheelbarrow race

3.15 Piggy Back Race

3.30 Welly throwing (bring your own shoe, boot or welly)

4.00 Footie (aka soccer)

This is a big family day out, so please bring a picnic, chairs and blankets.  All are invited to participate in the sports day, and in particular children, although there will be adult races too :)

MUSIC:

British invasion music will be played by a local artist from 1pm to 4pm.

PRIZES:

Will be awarded for each race or event.

FOOD & DRINK:

We encourage you to bring your own picnic as this place is Idyllic.

Britsburgh Ale and other East End Brewery beers will be available for purchase. Must be 21 and have ID. Please drink responsibly.

Britsburgh Ale is brewed especially for the Britsburgh festival each year. This years beer is a classic Mild Ale 3.2%. Ideal to quench the thirst on a late summer's day. A great session beer, light but tasty as you like. Don't miss the opportunity to try some and take some home.

Concession stand will have light refreshments for a small donation.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Located on one of the original farms, the Sewickley Heights History Center is surrounded by rolling acreage, nature trails, and scenic views. A unique collection of film, photos, and vintage attire, combined with antique cars and carriages, honors the lifestyle of Pittsburgh’s early Industrialists. 

The field behind the center is perfect for our family focussed British Day Out and its completely free. 

PARKING:

If the car park is full please park your car on Sewickley Heights Drive opposite the center. Please do not park on Glen Mitchell Road.
