Honoring World War I Veterans on the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice, as documented in the Heinz History Center Scrapbook Collection.
You are invited to visit the Heinz History Center sixth floor Detre Library & Archives from 11am-2pm to review a sample of the collection of WWI scrap books and other historical items donated from families in Pittsburgh. These collections are a magnificent tribute to those who lived through The Great War and a unique perspective from those in Pittsburgh. It is interesting to note that the first American soldier to die in WWI was from Bloomfield! This is FREE to all. At reception state that you just wish to visit the library on the 6th floor.
