A quintessentially British afternoon of Lawn Bowling @ The Frick Park Lawn Bowling Club

Britsburgh and The Frick Park Lawn Bowling Club (FPLBC) are thrilled to be hosting a quintessentially British afternoon of Lawn Bowling on the beautiful greens in the lovely neighborhood of Point Breeze nestled next to Frick Park. Find out what the Brits love about the challenging, fun and historic sport of British lawn bowls while you enjoy a beautiful late summer's afternoon on the Club's gorgeous greens.

Volunteers from the FPLBC will be on hand to explain how to play the game and answer questions. Bowls and all other equipment will be provided. All participants MUST wear flat soled shoes. Feel free to bring your own light refreshments. The Clubhouse has handicap accessible restrooms.

Immediately following this event you are invited to join us for a reception at the adjacent Frick Pittsburgh where drinks and food will be available free of charge. Enjoy a tour of the Car and Carriage Museum with the Frick's Director, Robin Nicholson, highlighting the two Rolls-Royce motor vehicles in the collection and the learn about Mr. Rolls and Mr. Royce - The History of Rolls-Royce @ The Frick Pittsburgh.  A splendid evening to end a perfect day! Please register if you intend to join us.

FPLBC greens are the only public greens in the Keystone State; while located in a Pittsburgh public park, the FPLBC maintains the greens through its membership fees, donations and hosting special events. FPLBC is a member of the Northeast Division of USA Bowls and plays host to North East division tournaments, club tournaments, and open community bowling every Thursday night, along with the regular Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening league play.
