In 2004 craft beer drinkers in Pittsburgh welcomed East End Brewing to the burgeoning craft beer scene here in the "Burgh." Across the USA beer connoisseurs were warming up to the flavours of the new darker and 'hoppier' brews. Scott Smith started East End modestly in 2004. The brewery has grown in its recognition for beer quality, for the flavour of its most popular beers including the Big Hop, and for its commitment to the Pittsburgh community.
In 2016 Britsburgh partnered with Scott and East End Brewing to produce a unique 'British Style' annual brew for our Britsburgh Festival - The Britsburgh Ale. Britsburgh reckons that you beer lovers might be interested in hearing first hand from Scott and Brendan Benson, head brewer about their 16 year journey - virtually of course - while tasting the goods, so to speak. We'll make the beer we're tasting available to you in advance (See below for details) and we'll even deliver it to your doorstep for a few bucks. We may have been at home for a while and our favourite bars may be closed, but Britsburgh is going to bring East End to you - in your home!
It'll be a fun evening of stories and tasting - and there's no closing time! Once you register, please order your beer online asap from the Brewery for the tasting part of the evening. Scott and Brendan will be on hand to virtually show you around the brewery and to answer your questions. And don't forget to donate when you register. By the way the event is FREE - so donate generously - Britsburgh will donate every penny to the Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
As the great Winston Churchill once said "If you're going through hell, keep going." We intend to do just that!
Britsburgh Tasting Case Price: East End Brewing will supply you directly with 5 four packs i.e. a four pack of each of the tasting beers at a cost of $75. That's just $3.75 a pint folks! Plus Scott has kindly agreed to throw in a couple of glasses for free!
Collection and delivery options: Curbside Pickup at the brewery, or Saturday Home Delivery if people are inside our 40+ zip code coverage area. Delivery charge is $10 for locations within 20 minutes of the brewery i.e. to the following zip codes: 15104, 15120, 15139, 15143, 15146, 15147, 15201, 15202, 15203, 15205, 15206, 15207, 15208, 15209, 15210, 15211, 15212, 15213, 15214, 15215, 15216, 15217, 15218, 15219, 15220, 15221, 15222, 15223, 15224, 15226, 15227, 15228, 15229, 15232, 15234, 15235, 15237, 15238, 15239, 15241, 15243, 15260.
